Overloaded circuit
Too many devices on one circuit — the most common and least serious cause.
Short circuit or ground fault
A wiring or device fault. This needs a pro.
Failing breaker
Breakers wear out and can trip on normal loads.
When to call
If it trips immediately on reset, trips with little load, or you smell or see scorching.
